E-invoicing mandate
Since January 1, 2025 every German business must be able to receive e-invoices. From January 1, 2027 issuing becomes mandatory (previous-year revenue above €800k), from 2028 for everyone (Wachstumschancengesetz). Ledgura does not just generate XRechnung and ZUGFeRD — it validates every document against the official rulesets before it leaves your system.

Yes. Receiving e-invoices has been mandatory in German B2B since January 1, 2025; issuing becomes mandatory on January 1, 2027 for businesses above €800k previous-year revenue and on January 1, 2028 for everyone. Documents are finalized on issue (corrections only via cancellation/credit note), numbering is gapless, and the audit trail is cryptographically chained — tampering is provable. For audits there is a GDPdU export and a GoBD process documentation generated from the live system.

Access (Art. 15) and erasure (Art. 17) are built-in functions: access exports all personal data across modules, erasure anonymizes — automatically respecting commercial and tax retention periods for documents.
